Dastneveshteha Nemisoozand
Dastneveshteha Nemisoozand : دستنوشتهها نمیسوزند : This film delves into the life of an intelligence officer and intertwines the erasure of a novel, its author, and potentially the author's friends. The film features a nonlinear narrative where the beginning and the end complement each other. The sound of a dog's bark at the start of the film is heard again at the end, linking these two points in time and space.
The movie adopts a traditional view on the return of evil to humanity. One intelligence officer commits murder and has a sick child. His wife believes their child’s illness is due to his job. The director highlights the officer's financial struggles, often showing him checking his bank balance, reminiscent of Aziz Nesin's novel "The Interrogator."
During a mission, the officer's child is admitted to the hospital through the intervention of a benefactor. However, subsequent scenes reveal the surgery never takes place, symbolizing the futility, suspense, and mirage the officer faces.
For the safety of the cast and crew, the film avoids mentioning their names and details, only crediting the director.
